A Building Regulation Full Plans application, Building Notice, or Application for a Certificate of Regularisation must be accompanied by the payment of the appropriate Building Control Charge. Please note that new charges came into effect from 1 January 2010. Any application accepted as valid on or after January 1 will be subject to the new fees The only exemption from this requirement is for applications relating to certain works, solely required for disabled persons. Building Control charges are payable in advance and the correct payment must be made before an application can be accepted and processed. Payment may be made by cheque, credit or debit card. Cash payments should only be made in person at Planning and Building Control Services reception and not sent in by post.
