Application Received for Site of Former Runwell Hospital

Chelmsford Borough Council has now received a planning application from the Ministry of Justice for a new 1500 person training prison on the site of the former Runwell Hospital, Runwell Chase, Runwell, Wickford, Essex, SS11 7XX.

The Council will now check the application submission to ensure it contains all relevant and necessary information in order for the application to be formally registered and published to www.chelmsford.gov.uk/RunwellHospital. Verifying and registering the application will take one week for an application of this size and complexity. Once registered, copies of the application will also be made available to view at the Planning Reception in the Civic Centre, Chelmsford, and at the South Woodham Ferrers Community Information Centre.
