Dovedale Sports Centre has an Excel health and fitness room which incorporates 16 body toning machines and cardiovascular stations such as rowing machines, bikes and power jogs. Access is available to holders of an Authorised Users Card, which can easily be obtained by attending a supervised induction from one of the fully qualified instructors. If you wish to have a gym induction, please contact the Centre for an appointment.
The fitness instructors can offer friendly advice and guidance with all aspects of fitness training. The Centre offers instruction sessions to both men and women regardless of age or level of fitness. An alternative, fully accessible gym / fitness room facility run by Chelmsford Borough Council is available at Riverside Ice and Leisure. This Centre is located in within the Town, near to the train and bus stations, and was accredited by the Inclusive Fitness Initiative in May 2005.
